Office 365 Migration

Your email account is in queue to be migrated to Office 365. We will be sending you another message right before you switch over. Please take the time to read this over and ask any questions of help desk while we prepare your account for migration. We will only be migrating accounts Monday - Wednesday.

Here is some important information about the migration and features. If you use Microsoft Outlook to check your NMHU email on your office or home computer it should automatically update your settings, so you will not need to make any changes on your office desktop. If you do happen to have an issue please contact the ITS@NMHU help desk at (505)426-2222.

If you use a Smart Phone or other mobile device to view your email, you may need to update your settings. Some devices may update automatically. To update your settings manually, you can follow these instructions. It is recommended that you delete your old account on your phone first and set up a completely new one.

You also have the option of installing the Outlook app on your phone if you are using ISO 8.0 or greater, Android 4.0.3 or greater, and Windows 10 Mobile.


For Android Devices
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Accounts
3. Select Add Account or (+)
4. Select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync or Exchange
5. Enter your login information Username is your entire email address username@nmhu.edu
If it asks for “Domain\username, enter \username@nmhu.edu
Password is your current NMHU password
6. Enter server information
Server is smtp.office365.com
7. Check Use SSL connection


For IOS (IPHONES)

1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars
3. Select Add Account
4. Select Exchange 5. Enter your email address (username@nmhu.edu)
6. Enter your Current NMHU Password
7. Select Next and it will verify your information.
